GoHighLevel vs Follow Up Boss pricing comes down to how you are billed. GoHighLevel charges a flat $97 a month on Starter for unlimited users and then meters every text and call. Follow Up Boss charges per user, $69 a month on Grow, or $499 a month for 10 users on Pro with unlimited calling and texting included. A solo agent pays less on Follow Up Boss Grow. A busy 10-agent team that texts and calls all day often pays about the same or less on Follow Up Boss Pro.
Follow Up Boss prices come from followupboss.com/pricing and GoHighLevel prices from gohighlevel.com/pricing and HighLevel's "LC Phone Pricing and Billing Guide" (last modified 12 October 2026), all read on 25 October 2026 in US dollars. The usage scenarios and the arithmetic are ours, and every assumption is stated next to the number.
GoHighLevel vs Follow Up Boss pricing side by side
The two products are built for different buyers. Follow Up Boss is a real estate CRM sold per agent. GoHighLevel is an all-in-one marketing platform sold per account, which real estate teams and the agencies that serve them adopt for funnels, websites and automation. Here is what each vendor prints today.
| Line item | Follow Up Boss | GoHighLevel |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan | Grow, $69 per user a month ($58 billed yearly) | Starter, $97 a month ($970 a year), 3 sub-accounts |
| Team plan | Pro, $499 a month for 10 users, $49 per extra user ($416 and $41 yearly) | Unlimited, $297 a month ($2,970 a year), unlimited sub-accounts |
| Large team plan | Platform, $1,000 a month for 30 users, $20 per extra user ($833 and $17 yearly) | Agency Pro, $497 a month ($4,970 a year), SaaS Mode |

The headline numbers mislead in both directions. GoHighLevel's $97 looks cheap next to $499 until you count the texts and minutes a team sends. Follow Up Boss's $69 looks cheap next to $97 until the team grows past a few agents. The useful question is what each costs at your headcount and your volume.
Is Follow Up Boss cheaper than GoHighLevel for a solo agent?
Yes, if you only need the CRM. A solo agent pays $69 a month on Follow Up Boss Grow, or $58 billed yearly, against $97 on GoHighLevel Starter, or about $80.83 a month on annual billing. Add Follow Up Boss calling at $39 and the agent pays $108, which is more than GoHighLevel's plan price, but GoHighLevel's calls and texts are still metered on top.
For a typical solo agent texting a few hundred leads a month, GoHighLevel's telecom bill is small. Five hundred outbound texts and 250 replies cost roughly $8 to $11 at HighLevel's published segment rate and carrier fees, plus $1.15 for the number and a campaign fee of up to $2.10 for a sole proprietor. So the solo comparison is about $69 to $108 on Follow Up Boss against about $106 to $111 on GoHighLevel. What decides it is whether you want websites, funnels and email campaigns in the same login, which only GoHighLevel includes.
Follow Up Boss vs GoHighLevel cost for a real estate team
Follow Up Boss gets more expensive as you add agents and cheaper per agent as you move up a plan. GoHighLevel stays flat on users and grows with usage instead. Monthly billing, before GoHighLevel usage:
| Team size | Follow Up Boss, cheapest plan that fits | Per agent | GoHighLevel Starter plan only |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 agent | Grow $69 (or $108 with calling) | $69 to $108 | $97 |
| 5 agents | Grow $345, or Pro $499 if you want calling ($540 on Grow) | $69 to $100 | $97 |
| 10 agents | Pro $499 | $49.90 | $97 |
| 15 agents | Pro $744 ($499 + 5 x $49) | $49.60 | $97 |
| 25 agents | Platform $1,000 | $40 | $97 |
| 30 agents | Platform $1,000 | $33.33 | $97 |
Three break-even points fall out of Follow Up Boss's own numbers. Grow with calling costs $108 per agent, so Pro at $499 is cheaper from the fifth agent onward. Without calling, Grow at $69 per agent stays cheaper until the eighth agent ($552). Pro plus $49 per extra seat passes Platform's $1,000 at 21 agents ($1,038), so a team of 21 to 30 should be on Platform.
What does GoHighLevel really cost a team that texts and calls all day?
This is where the comparison flips. Follow Up Boss Pro prints unlimited calling and texting for every user. GoHighLevel bills each text segment, each reply and each minute. Take a 10-agent team, our assumption, that sends 20,000 single-segment texts a month, receives 10,000 replies and makes 5,000 outbound call minutes:
| GoHighLevel line | Low (AT&T and T-Mobile heavy list) | High (Verizon and US Cellular heavy list) |
|---|---|---|
| Starter plan | $97.00 | $97.00 |
| 20,000 outbound texts | $219.40 | $249.40 |
| 10,000 inbound replies | $99.70 | $174.70 |
| 5,000 outbound call minutes | $83.00 | $83.00 |
| 10 local numbers | $11.50 | $11.50 |
| A2P campaign fee | $10.50 | $10.50 |
| Monthly total | $521.10 | $626.10 |
Follow Up Boss Pro for the same 10 agents is $499 a month, or $416 billed yearly, with that calling and texting included. So at this volume Follow Up Boss Pro is about $22 to $127 a month cheaper before any GoHighLevel AI add-on, and the gap widens on annual billing. At a quarter of that volume, GoHighLevel drops to roughly $220 to $246 and wins easily. Volume decides it, not the sticker price.
Two details push the GoHighLevel number up in practice. Any text with an emoji is limited to 70 characters per segment instead of 160, so a friendly 150-character follow-up becomes three billed segments. And if an agency runs the account with rebilling turned on, HighLevel's guide says carrier and registration fees carry a fixed 5% markup at the sub-account level. Our GoHighLevel pricing and SMS cost per text page lists every rate line in one table.
Which has better AI for real estate leads?
They do different jobs. Follow Up Boss's AI, as listed on its pricing page, helps the agent: smart summaries, suggested messages, suggested tasks and predictive lead prioritization, included in the price. Its Grow card notes that some of it uses data from the calling add-on. GoHighLevel's AI Employee replies to leads on its own through Conversation AI and Voice AI, but it is a separate $50 or $97 a month per sub-account, and the phone usage stays on top. We cover that add-on in detail in GoHighLevel AI Employee pricing.
Neither price includes an AI that answers a buyer's Instagram DM at 10 pm, asks about budget, area and pre-approval, books the showing and hands it to the right agent. That is the gap most teams feel, because portal leads land in the CRM but social and text leads land in somebody's phone. Before any AI texts a lead, make sure you can prove that lead opted in, since automated texts are where TCPA claims start; recording lead consent at the form is cheaper than defending one.
When a messaging agent beats both on cost
If your CRM already works and the leak is speed to lead on social and text, you do not need to switch CRMs. MessageAgent Growth costs $199 a month, or $99 a month billed yearly, and runs one AI across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook DMs, web chat and email. It answers listing questions, qualifies on budget, timing and financing, books the showing and hands the conversation to an agent with the full thread. It includes 5,000 AI conversations and 10 handoff seats, and carrier and Meta fees are passed through at cost.
Compared on the AI job alone, that is $199 against $147 to $194 for GoHighLevel Starter with an AI Employee plan before telecom, and it sits next to Follow Up Boss instead of replacing it. See how it handles listing and showing questions on the AI bot for real estate page, or compare other real estate platforms on our Lofty pricing breakdown.

Can I use GoHighLevel and Follow Up Boss together?
