AGENTFORCE PRICING
Agentforce pricing: Agentforce cost per month, Flex Credits, and all seven ways to buy
Salesforce now sells Agentforce seven different ways. Here is every published rate, the arithmetic that decides which one you should pick, and the three lines in the FAQ that change the answer.

Handed to a human teammate
They pick up with the full conversation and context carried over. No dead ends, no repeating.
Sample conversation, not customer data.
Salesforce publishes real numbers for Agentforce, which already puts it ahead of most of this category. The problem is that it publishes seven of them, on the same page, in units that do not convert into each other. We read salesforce.com/agentforce/pricing first-hand on 4 September 2026 from a United States connection, in USD, and counted seven separately priced lines: Salesforce Foundations at $0, Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, Conversations at $2 each, the Agentforce User License at $5 per user per month, the Agentforce add-on at $125 per user per month, the Agentforce Industries add-on at $150, and Agentforce 1 Editions from $550 per user per month.
One division makes the whole page legible. Flex Credits cost $500 per 100,000, so a credit is $0.005. A standard Agentforce action burns 20 credits, which is $0.10. A Voice action burns 30, which is $0.15. Set that against the Conversations model at $2 flat and you get the number that should drive your decision: 20 actions. If your average customer conversation takes fewer than 20 actions to handle, Flex Credits are cheaper. If it reliably takes more, Conversations are. Salesforce's own five worked examples all sit far below that line, at one to five actions per use case, which tells you something about which model it expects most buyers to land on.
Three lines buried in the FAQ matter more than any headline rate. First, Flex Credits and Conversations will not be supported in the same org, so this is a fork in the road and not a menu. Second, unused Flex Credits do not roll over into subsequent subscription terms, which makes a large pre-purchase a use-it-or-lose-it bet on your own forecast. Third, the flexible buying models everyone gets excited about, PayGo and Pre-Commit, are available for Flex Credits only. Conversations, the add-ons and the Editions are all excluded from them, and Pre-Commit itself is still marked as widely available later this year rather than available now.
Side by side
Every Agentforce price Salesforce publishes, and what each unit actually buys
Read first-hand from salesforce.com/agentforce/pricing on 4 September 2026, served to a United States visitor in USD. The page returned HTTP 200. Every figure below is printed on that page; the per-unit costs in the third column are arithmetic on those figures, not separate claims.
| What you buy | Published US rate | What that works out to | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Salesforce Foundations | $0 | Free. Includes Agentforce Builder, Prompt Builder, Agent Script, Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes | Building and testing before anything is metered |
| Flex Credits | $500 per 100,000 credits | $0.005 per credit. Standard action 20 credits = $0.10. Voice action 30 credits = $0.15 | Any use case, customer or employee facing, where conversations are short |
| Conversations | $2 per conversation | Flat, regardless of how many actions the agent takes inside it | Customer-facing agents whose conversations run long or unpredictably |
| Agentforce User License | $5 per user per month | Marked "(Requires Flex Credits)", so it is never a standalone purchase | Rolling employee agents out company wide on top of a credit balance |
| Agentforce add-on | $125 per user per month | Unmetered employee usage. $1,500 per user per year | Sales, Service and Field Service teams with heavy daily AI use |
| Agentforce Industries add-on | $150 per user per month | 20 percent above the standard add-on, for Industries Clouds | Regulated verticals on an industry cloud |
| Agentforce 1 Editions | from $550 per user per month | Add-on included, plus 2.5M Flex Credits per org per year, which is $12,500 of credits or 125,000 standard actions | Large orgs standardizing on Salesforce AI end to end |
| MessageAgent (planned, not yet on sale) | Flat $79, $199 or $499 per month | No per-action, per-conversation or per-resolution meter at all | Teams that want messaging across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and web chat on one predictable bill |
The two rows to read together are Flex Credits and Conversations, because Salesforce will not let you have both in one org. At $0.10 per standard action against $2.00 per conversation, the switchover is exactly 20 actions per conversation. Salesforce's own five published examples run at one, two, three, four and five actions per use case. Note also what is absent: there is no per-resolution price anywhere on this page. Zendesk charges $1.50 per automated resolution and Help Scout $0.75, both of which only bill when the AI actually resolves something. Agentforce bills for the action or the conversation whether or not it worked.
What you get
Everything one AI agent handles
The one division that makes the page readable
Flex Credits are sold at $500 per 100,000, so one credit is half a cent. Salesforce prices a standard Agentforce action at 20 credits and a Voice action at 30. That is $0.10 and $0.15. Every worked example on the page, every quote you get and every estimate you build should start from those two numbers, because credits themselves are a unit of account rather than a thing you consume.
Flex Credits versus Conversations breaks even at exactly 20 actions
A conversation costs $2.00 flat. A standard action costs $0.10. Divide and you get 20. Under 20 actions per conversation Flex Credits win; over 20, Conversations do. Salesforce models order status at 2 actions, case management at 3, appointment scheduling at 5 and a knowledge answer at 1. On its own numbers, Flex Credits are between four and twenty times cheaper for those jobs. Ask your rep to model your actual action count before you sign either one.
You cannot run both models, so this is a fork not a menu
Salesforce states it flatly in its FAQ: Flex Credits and Conversations will not be supported in the same org. You can switch from Conversations to Flex Credits, but it means swapping out all of your existing Conversation SKUs. If you have a mix of short employee lookups and long customer service dialogues, you are picking one price for both, and the short jobs almost always outnumber the long ones.
Unused credits do not roll over, so the pre-purchase is a forecast bet
The FAQ is explicit that unused Flex Credits do not roll over into subsequent subscription terms. Pre-Purchase gets you the best rate by paying upfront for the whole term, and any credits you overestimated die at renewal. That turns your usage forecast into money. Two of the five Salesforce examples land at $10 and $120 a month, so a first-year forecast built on a demo can be wrong by an order of magnitude in either direction.
There is no overage penalty, which is genuinely unusual here
If you exceed your Flex Credit entitlement, Salesforce says there is no overage penalty: your rate is your contracted rate, billed monthly in arrears. Compare that with Gorgias, where overage AI interactions are billed at $1.50 against $0.90 to $1.00 inside plan, or Zendesk, which runs a True Forward mechanism on Sunshine overage. Under-buying credits at Salesforce costs you the discount, not a penalty rate. Given that credits expire, under-buying is usually the safer error.
PayGo and Pre-Commit only apply to Flex Credits, and one is not shipping yet
Salesforce publishes three buying models: Pre-Purchase, Pre-Commit and PayGo. The FAQ then narrows them sharply. Flex Credits are available with PayGo and Pre-Commit; Conversation-based pricing, the Agentforce add-ons and Agentforce 1 Editions are not. Pre-Commit also carries the line "widely available later this year", so as of 4 September 2026 the realistic choices are Pre-Purchase upfront or PayGo in arrears.
The unmetered $125 add-on needs about seven times Salesforce own modeled volume
Take Salesforce Example 2 exactly as published: 100 Salesforce users managing 3 cases a day for 20 days, 3 actions each, costing $1,800 a month on Flex Credits. Those same 100 users on the unmetered $125 add-on would cost $12,500 a month, which is 6.9 times more. For the add-on to break even, each user would need roughly 21 cases a day rather than 3. Unmetered sounds safer than metered, and at typical volumes it is far more expensive.
Every published example excludes Data 360 credits, so treat them as floors
Salesforce prints five worked examples running from $10 a month for new-hire IT questions to $1,800 for case management at 100 users, a 180-fold spread. All five carry the same footnote: this example does not include other costs like Data 360 credits or other consumption services. Grounding an agent in your own data is the entire point of the product, so the number that matters to you is above the number on the page, not equal to it.
What a flat messaging subscription looks like next to this
Agentforce is a platform for building agents across a Salesforce org, and it is priced like one: seven lines, two incompatible metering models and three buying models. If the job you are actually hiring for is answering, qualifying, booking and escalating customer messages across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and web chat, that is a narrower product. MessageAgent is planned at a flat $79, $199 or $499 a month with no action, conversation or resolution meter, carrier and Meta fees passed through at cost. It is pre-launch and not yet purchasable; you can join the waitlist today.

Common questions
Agentforce pricing questions
How much does Agentforce cost?
It depends which of seven lines you buy. Read on 4 September 2026, Salesforce publishes Foundations at $0, Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, Conversations at $2 each, an Agentforce User License at $5 per user per month, an Agentforce add-on at $125 per user per month, an Industries add-on at $150, and Agentforce 1 Editions from $550 per user per month. Salesforce own worked examples land between $10 and $1,800 a month.
How much does Agentforce cost per month?
Salesforce publishes five worked monthly examples on its pricing page and they run from $10 to $1,800. The $10 case is 20 new employees asking 5 knowledge questions each. The $1,800 case is 100 Salesforce users handling 3 cases a day for 20 days. Both use Flex Credits at $0.10 per standard action. Your monthly cost is your action count times $0.10, plus any per-user licenses.
What is the Agentforce pricing model?
Consumption or per user, and you pick one. Consumption comes in two incompatible flavors: Flex Credits, where you pay $0.005 a credit and a standard action costs 20 credits, or Conversations at $2 flat each. Per-user comes as a $5 user license that still requires Flex Credits, a $125 unmetered add-on, a $150 Industries add-on, or Agentforce 1 Editions from $550 per user per month.
How much is a Flex Credit?
Flex Credits are sold at $500 per 100,000 credits, which is $0.005 per credit. Salesforce prices a standard Agentforce action at 20 credits, so $0.10, and an Agentforce Voice action at 30 credits, so $0.15. Salesforce states credits are fungible across Actions, Prompts, Translations and Voice Actions, so one balance covers all four.
How much does Agentforce cost per conversation?
Under the Conversations model, $2 per conversation in the United States, flat, regardless of how many actions the agent performs inside it. Salesforce prices the same unit at 2 euros, 2.80 Australian dollars, 240 yen, 20 Swedish krona and 1.60 pounds. Conversations are described as optimized for external customer-facing agents rather than internal ones.
Is Flex Credits or Conversations cheaper?
Divide $2.00 by $0.10 and the answer is 20 actions. Below 20 actions per conversation, Flex Credits cost less; above it, Conversations do. Salesforce publishes five examples using 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 actions per use case, all far below the line. Model your own action count before choosing, because the two cannot coexist in one org and switching means swapping every SKU.
Can I use Flex Credits and Conversations at the same time?
No. Salesforce answers this directly in its FAQ: Flex Credits and Conversations will not be supported in the same org. You can migrate from Conversations to Flex Credits, but doing so requires swapping all of your existing Agentforce Conversation SKUs, handled through your account executive. Plan the choice as a one-way door rather than a setting.
Do unused Agentforce Flex Credits roll over?
No. Salesforce states that unused Flex Credits do not roll over into subsequent subscription terms. Anything you pre-purchased and did not consume is gone at renewal. This is the main risk in the Pre-Purchase model, which otherwise gives you the best rate, and it is why an over-optimistic first-year forecast is more expensive than a conservative one.
What happens if I run out of Flex Credits?
Nothing punitive. Salesforce says there is no overage penalty: if you exceed your entitlement, your rate is your contracted rate, billed monthly in arrears. It also points buyers to Digital Wallet alerts to see it coming. Because unused credits expire and overages are billed at your normal rate, buying slightly under your forecast is usually the cheaper mistake.
What is the Agentforce add-on at $125 per user per month?
It is unmetered Agentforce usage for employees on Sales, Service and Field Service, bundling the full AI suite plus AI-powered analytics and Prompt Builder. The Industries version is $150. Unmetered removes forecasting risk, but the arithmetic is steep: 100 users cost $12,500 a month, against $1,800 for the same 100 users in Salesforce own metered case-management example.
How many Flex Credits come with Agentforce 1 Editions?
Agentforce 1 Editions start at $550 per user per month and include the Agentforce add-on plus 2.5 million Flex Credits per org per year. At the published rate of $0.005 a credit, that allowance is worth $12,500, and at 20 credits per standard action it covers 125,000 actions across the whole org for the year, or roughly 342 actions a day.
What is the Agentforce User License for?
It is $5 per user per month to deploy Agentforce agents company wide to employees, and its card carries the parenthetical "(Requires Flex Credits)". So it is not a standalone purchase and it is not a substitute for consumption pricing. It grants access; the credits still pay for what those users actually do.
Does Agentforce have a free plan?
Salesforce Foundations is published at $0 and includes Agentforce Builder, Prompt Builder, Agent Script, Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes. It is the build-and-try tier rather than a production allowance: the meters start when agents begin taking actions or holding conversations. It is a genuine starting point for a proof of concept without a purchase order.
What are the Agentforce buying models?
Three: Pre-Purchase, where you buy usage for the full term upfront at the best rate; Pre-Commit, where you commit to a baseline with no upfront payment and true up at term end if you come in under; and PayGo, with no commitment, billed monthly in arrears. Salesforce marks Pre-Commit "widely available later this year", so it was not generally available as of 4 September 2026.
Which Agentforce products work with PayGo?
Flex Credits only. Salesforce states that Flex Credits are available for purchase with the PayGo and Pre-Commit models, and that Conversation-based pricing, the Agentforce add-ons and Agentforce 1 Editions are not. If a no-commitment start matters to you, that requirement decides your metering model before any price comparison does.
How much does Agentforce Voice cost?
Voice actions burn 30 Flex Credits instead of the standard 20, so $0.15 against $0.10, a 50 percent multiplier. Salesforce publishes a worked voice example: 300 calls a month at 4 actions per call is 120 credits per call, 36,000 credits, $180 a month. Voice draws on the same credit balance rather than a separate one.
Does Agentforce charge per resolution?
No, and the distinction matters. Agentforce bills per action or per conversation whether or not the customer issue was solved. Zendesk charges $1.50 per automated resolution and defines it as resolved without escalation to a human; Help Scout charges $0.75 on the same basis. Under those models a failed deflection is free. Under Agentforce, an agent that tries and hands off has still consumed credits.
What is Agentforce for Service pricing?
Salesforce does not publish a separate Agentforce for Service rate card. Service is covered by the same seven lines: consumption via Flex Credits or Conversations, or the $125 per user per month add-on available for Sales, Service and Field Service. Salesforce case-management example, 100 users at 3 cases a day, comes to $1,800 a month on Flex Credits.
What is Agentforce for Sales pricing?
Same structure as Service. There is no standalone Sales price list; the $125 per user per month Agentforce add-on covers Sales, Service and Field Service alike, and consumption pricing applies to Sales agents on the same $0.10 per standard action basis. The Industries add-on at $150 applies if you are on an Industries Cloud.
Are the Salesforce pricing examples complete?
No, and Salesforce says so. All five worked examples carry the footnote that they do not include other costs like Data 360 credits or other consumption services, and the page carries a general note that it is for information purposes only and subject to change. Since grounding agents in your own data is the point of the product, treat every published example as a floor.
Is Agentforce cheaper than Zendesk AI?
The units do not line up, so it depends on your deflection rate. Zendesk charges $1.50 per resolution committed, or $2.00 pay as you go, and only when the AI resolves without escalation. Agentforce charges $0.10 per action regardless of outcome. A three-action conversation costs $0.30 on Agentforce whether it works or not; on Zendesk the same conversation costs $1.50 if it works and nothing if it does not.
What should I ask Salesforce before signing an Agentforce contract?
Five things. Your modeled actions per conversation, which decides Flex Credits against Conversations. The credit forecast, since unused credits expire. Whether Pre-Commit is available to you yet. What Data 360 and other consumption services will add on top of the examples. And the renewal rate, since the discount on a Pre-Purchase applies to the term you bought, not to the next one.
