Kustomer does not publish a price for its plans. kustomer.com/pricing asks for your industry, company size, agent count and monthly conversations, then hands you to sales. What Kustomer does publish are usage rates: US voice at $0.015 a minute inbound, SMS at $0.009 a segment, WhatsApp at Meta's fee plus 20 percent, storage at $50 per GB and AI credits at $1 each.

So a Kustomer quote has two halves. The platform and AI seats are negotiated, and the AI rates that were printed in August 2026 now show only a dollar sign. The usage half you can price today, and the table below does that for a 20-agent US retail support team, next to a flat AI agent with the AI included.

A retail customer support manager reviewing printed contact center usage invoices at a desk beside a desk phone and headset
The part of a Kustomer bill you can check in advance is the usage half: minutes, segments, Meta fees and storage. The platform half arrives as a quote.

What the published Kustomer usage lines cost a 20-agent US support team each month

Rates as shown on kustomer.com and its two linked rate sheets on 9 October 2026, in US dollars. Volumes are an example for a US retail team with 20 agents and about 10,000 conversations a month; swap in your own. Lines Kustomer marks with a dollar sign and no number are labeled as quote only.

Line item Kustomer rate (9 Oct 2026) Example monthly volume Monthly cost at that volume
Platform, Enterprise or Ultimate Not published, Talk to Sales 20 agents Quote only
AI Agents for Customers Dollar sign only; $0.60 per engaged conversation on 31 Aug 2026 3,000 engaged conversations $1,800 at the August rate, unconfirmed
AI Agents for Reps Dollar sign only; $40 per user a month on 31 Aug 2026 20 agents $800 at the August rate, unconfirmed
US voice, local inbound $0.015 a minute, first US line included 12,000 minutes $180
US voice, toll-free inbound $0.035 a minute 12,000 minutes $420
US voice, outbound $0.022 a minute 2,000 minutes $44
Extra US phone lines $2 per line a month 4 lines $8
US SMS, local or toll-free $0.009 a segment, inbound or outbound 12,000 segments $108
WhatsApp Meta per-message fee plus 20 percent $500 of Meta fees $600
AI QA 1 credit ($1) per 15 executions 10,000 conversations scored $667
Conversation Intelligence 1 credit ($1) per 50 executions 30,000 executions $600
Data storage over the allowance $50 per GB a month 5 GB over $250
MessageAgent, flat plans Growth $199 a month or $99 billed yearly; Scale $499 or $249 5,000 or 20,000 AI conversations, 10 or 25 seats AI included, carrier and Meta fees at cost

Only the voice, SMS, WhatsApp, credit and storage lines are priced on Kustomer pages today. The August 2026 AI rates are shown so you can ask for them in writing; Kustomer may quote different numbers. MessageAgent counts AI conversations rather than engaged conversations or executions, so compare on your own volume.

What you get

Everything one AI agent handles

1

No plan price on the pricing page

kustomer.com/pricing opens with a two-minute assessment instead of plan cards. It asks for your industry, company size (1 to 50, 51 to 200, 201 to 1,000 or 1,001+ employees), your number of human agents and your monthly conversations, in bands from under 1,000 to over 250,000. The result is an ROI estimate and a call with someone who builds the price.

2

Two current plans, both quoted

The Comprehensive Pricing Details page lists two current plans, Enterprise and Ultimate, with no price on either. It also keeps two legacy families: seat-based Professional and Business, both marked Talk to Sales, and usage-based ProfessionalAI, EnterpriseAI and UltimateAI, which carried unlimited users and unlimited conversations.

3

The AI rates came off the page

On 31 August 2026 the same page printed $0.60 per engaged conversation for AI Agents for Customers, $40 per user a month for AI Agents for Reps and $25 per user for HIPAA. On 9 October 2026 all three rows show only a dollar sign, while the page still says Last Updated December 19, 2025. Ask for the AI rate in the contract.

4

US voice is billed by the minute

The voice rate sheet includes the first US line and charges $2 a month for each extra one. Local inbound minutes cost $0.015, toll-free inbound $0.035 and outbound $0.022. A team taking 3,000 calls a month at four minutes each uses 12,000 minutes: $180 on a local number, $420 on toll-free.

5

SMS is $0.009 a segment both ways

US local and toll-free texts cost the same $0.009 per segment whether they come in or go out. A team handling 2,000 text conversations a month, at three segments each way, sends and receives 12,000 segments, which is $108. Long replies split into more segments, so the AI writing style changes the bill.

6

WhatsApp costs Meta plus 20 percent

Kustomer passes through Meta per-message fee and adds its own fee equal to 20 percent of it. $500 of Meta charges becomes $600, and $5,000 becomes $6,000. Enterprise allows 3 WhatsApp Business accounts and Ultimate 5, alongside 25 or 50 Facebook pages and 25 or 50 Instagram accounts.

7

AI QA and analysis run on $1 credits

Kustomer Usage Credits cost $1 each. One credit buys 15 AI QA executions, about 6.7 cents each, or 50 Conversation Intelligence executions, 2 cents each. An execution is one automation handling one event, and one conversation can trigger several. Scoring all 10,000 monthly conversations with AI QA uses 667 credits, $667 a month.

8

Storage and the dollar-sign lines

Data storage past the allowance is $50 per GB a month. Enterprise includes 10 GB plus 500 MB per full-time user and Ultimate 20 GB plus 1 GB per user. Implementation, Kinesis, extra sandboxes, voice transcription, HIPAA and SAML single sign-on on Enterprise are all marked as extra charge with no number.

9

When a flat AI agent is the better buy

Kustomer is a serious platform for a large retail or DTC support org with a custom data model: up to 100 million custom objects, 2,000 API requests a minute and 300 brands on Ultimate. If the job is an AI that answers, qualifies and books across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, web chat and email at a price you can read today, a flat plan is simpler.

Common questions

Kustomer pricing questions

How much does Kustomer cost?

Kustomer does not publish a plan price; the Enterprise and Ultimate plans are quoted by sales after a short assessment of your agents and conversation volume. The usage lines are published: US voice from $0.015 a minute, SMS $0.009 a segment, WhatsApp at Meta fee plus 20 percent, storage $50 per GB and AI credits at $1, as read on 9 October 2026.

Does Kustomer publish its pricing?

Only partly. kustomer.com/pricing shows features and an ROI form, with no plan prices. A link at the bottom leads to the Comprehensive Pricing Details page, which lists plan limits and a few usage fees, and to two PDF rate sheets: one for voice minutes, phone lines and SMS by country, one for usage credits.

What are the Kustomer pricing plans?

The current plans are Enterprise and Ultimate. Ultimate raises most limits: 100 million custom objects instead of 5 million, 2,000 API requests a minute instead of 1,000, 300 brands instead of 25, all languages instead of 20, plus SCIM and included SAML single sign-on. Legacy Professional, Business and the AI usage plans still appear for existing customers.

How much does Kustomer AI cost?

As of 9 October 2026 Kustomer shows no number for its AI agents, only a dollar sign meaning extra charge. In August 2026 the same page listed $0.60 per engaged conversation for AI Agents for Customers and $40 per user a month for AI Agents for Reps. AI QA and Conversation Intelligence are billed through $1 usage credits.

Is Kustomer $89 per user?

Not according to Kustomer. Several review and comparison sites quote $89 per user a month for Enterprise and $139 for Ultimate, but neither figure appears on kustomer.com. The only seat-based plans Kustomer lists, the legacy Professional and Business tiers, both say Talk to Sales. Use those numbers as rough market talk, not a quote.

What is the difference between Kustomer Enterprise and Ultimate?

Limits and security. Enterprise allows 5 million custom objects, 25 brands, 20 languages, 100 business rules, 3 WhatsApp accounts and 10 permission sets. Ultimate allows 100 million, 300, all languages, 200 rules, 5 WhatsApp accounts and 20 permission sets, adds SCIM and unlimited collaboration users, and includes SAML single sign-on, which is extra on Enterprise.

How much does Kustomer Voice cost?

Kustomer Voice has no upfront fee. In the US the first phone line is included and each extra line is $2 a month. Minutes cost $0.015 for local inbound, $0.035 for toll-free inbound and $0.022 for outbound, with $0.504 a minute for outbound calls to countries not on the list. Transcription is an extra charge.

How much does Kustomer charge for SMS?

Kustomer Text costs $0.009 per segment for US local and toll-free numbers, the same rate for inbound and outbound messages. UK outbound is $0.05325 and most other listed countries run $0.06 to $0.12 outbound. One segment is one standard text, so long messages that split cost two or three times as much.

Does Kustomer charge extra for WhatsApp?

Yes. WhatsApp is billed at Meta per-message fee plus a Kustomer fee equal to 20 percent of Meta fee, passed through to you. So every $100 Meta charges costs $120 on Kustomer. MessageAgent passes Meta and carrier fees through at cost with no percentage added.

What are Kustomer usage credits?

A prepaid currency for AI analysis features: 1 credit equals $1. One credit covers 15 AI QA executions or 50 Conversation Intelligence executions. An execution is one automation run on one event, and one conversation can generate several, so add trigger conditions to keep spam and low-signal conversations from using credits.

Does Kustomer have a free trial?

The pricing page does not offer a trial or a self-serve sign-up. Its options are the two-minute ROI estimate, marked no credit card and no commitment, and a demo request. Some configurations also need a statement of work and an implementation fee, so budget for setup on top of the subscription.

What is a Kustomer alternative with published pricing?

MessageAgent Growth is $199 a month, or $99 billed yearly, with 5,000 AI conversations and 10 handoff seats across SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, web chat and email, AI included and Meta fees at cost. Kustomer stays the stronger fit for a 100-plus agent org that needs custom objects, voice and deep CRM data in one place.
