Tidio does not have one price. It has three meters that move independently, and your invoice is the sum of all three. As read from the Tidio pricing page on 20 August 2026, the plan tiles are Free at 0, Starter at 24.17 a month, Growth from 49.17, Plus from 300 plus monthly usage, and a custom Premium tier. Alongside the plan you separately size Lyro AI conversations (the AI agent) and Flows visitors reached (proactive automation). Move any one slider and the total changes.
One currency note before the numbers, because it matters for a US buyer. Served from our servers the plan tiles render in euros, and we will not launder that into a dollar figure we were not shown. Tidio's own copy for the Plus tier, however, reads "Get premium features, priority support, and advanced team management for $300/mo" next to a tile showing 300 euro, which suggests Tidio prices the two currencies at par. Confirm the number at checkout rather than trusting any blog, including this one.
The more useful discovery is that Tidio runs two different price books for the same software. The Tidio listing on the Shopify App Store, which states plainly that "all charges are billed in USD", packages the product as three separate $29 to $39 subscriptions instead of tiers: Customer Service at $29 a month for 100 conversations, Flows at $29 for up to 40,000 visitors, and Lyro AI Chatbot at $39 a month for up to 200 Lyro conversations. On the website, Lyro as an add-on starts at 32.50 for 50 conversations. That is roughly 0.65 per AI conversation on the site against about $0.195 on the Shopify listing, a gap of more than three times for the same AI agent.
Now the part that decides whether Tidio is cheap or expensive for you: on every tier except Premium, Lyro is billed per CONVERSATION, not per resolution. You pay when the AI picks up the chat, whether or not it solves anything. Tidio markets Lyro as solving "up to 67% of customer questions automatically". Take that at face value and 300 paid conversations return roughly 201 resolutions, so an entry-rung rate of 0.65 per conversation is really about 0.97 per problem actually solved. That lands almost exactly on Fin's $0.99 per resolution, except Fin only charges when there is an outcome and explicitly does not bill a conversation it hands to your team.
Premium is the tier where that flips. It is the only plan listing "pay-per-resolution billing" and a "guaranteed 50% Lyro AI resolution rate", and it starts from 3,000 Lyro AI conversations. So the resolution guarantee and the resolution-based meter are reserved for the tier that requires a sales conversation. If you are evaluating Tidio below that line, budget on conversations attempted rather than problems solved, and ask the rep what happens to a Lyro conversation that ends in a handoff.
The seat count is the pleasant surprise. Free, Starter and Growth all include 10 seats, so unlike Zendesk at $55 to $115 per agent or Front at $25 to $105 per seat, adding a support rep to Tidio does not change the bill. Volume changes the bill. That makes Tidio genuinely cheap for a small team handling a lot of conversations and progressively less so for a small team whose AI usage grows. MessageAgent sits on the other side of that curve: $79, $199 or $499 flat per month with carrier and Meta message fees passed through at cost, no per-conversation meter and no per-resolution meter, so a better deflection rate lowers your cost per contact instead of raising your invoice.

Tidio prices three things at once: billable conversations (the human side, sliding from 50 to 2,000 and up), Lyro AI conversations (0 to 1,000 and up), and Flows visitors reached (100 to 100,000 and up). A quote is only meaningful when all three are stated. Every paid option carries a 7-day free trial.
What you get
Everything one AI agent handles
One meter instead of three
Tidio asks you to forecast human conversations, AI conversations and proactive visitors reached separately, then bills the sum. We publish three flat tiers. You forecast one number, and it is the one printed on the plan.
You are not billed for the AI that fails
Below Premium, Lyro charges by conversation attempted rather than problem solved, so an unhelpful answer costs the same as a good one. Our subscription does not meter resolutions at all, which means a smarter agent is purely your gain.
The same price whichever storefront you came from
Tidio runs one price book on its website and a different one on the Shopify App Store, with more than a threefold gap in the entry rate per AI conversation. We publish one price list, and it does not depend on which door you walked through.
Messaging channels, not just the website widget
The same agent answers on SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger, web chat and email with one shared memory, so a shopper who asks about sizing in a DM and then emails about delivery does not start over with a stranger.
It books and qualifies, not only deflects
Deflection is the easy half. The agent qualifies the lead, offers real calendar slots, books the appointment and writes the outcome back to your systems, which shows up as revenue rather than as cost avoidance.
Honest about where Tidio wins
Ten seats on the Free, Starter and Growth tiers is genuinely generous, and for a small ecommerce team with modest AI usage Tidio is one of the cheapest credible ways to put live chat and a chatbot on a storefront. The thing to model carefully is the AI meter, not the software.

Common questions
Tidio pricing questions
How much does Tidio cost?
Tidio publishes five tiers. As served on 20 August 2026 they are Free at 0, Starter at 24.17 a month, Growth from 49.17, Plus from 300 plus monthly usage, and Premium on request. Lyro AI and Flows are metered separately on top, so the plan price alone is not the bill.
How does Tidio pricing work?
Tidio bills by usage across three independent meters rather than by seat. You size billable conversations for your human team, Lyro AI conversations for the AI agent, and Flows visitors reached for proactive automation. The plan tier sets features and the starting allowance; the sliders set the rest of the price.
How much does Tidio Lyro cost?
On the Tidio website the Lyro AI Agent add-on starts at 32.50 a month from 50 AI conversations, roughly 0.65 per conversation at that entry rung. On the Tidio Shopify App Store listing, Lyro AI Chatbot is $39 a month for up to 200 Lyro conversations, about $0.195 each.
Does Tidio charge per conversation or per resolution?
Per conversation on every tier except Premium. Lyro is billed when it engages, whether or not it solves the problem. Premium is the only plan that lists pay-per-resolution billing, and it also carries a guaranteed 50 percent Lyro resolution rate. Premium starts from 3,000 Lyro conversations and requires contacting sales.
What is a billable conversation in Tidio?
Tidio counts billable conversations as the live conversations and tickets handled by your team, sized on a slider that runs from 50 up past 2,000 a month. Lyro AI conversations are counted on a separate meter, and Flows visitors reached on a third, so the three numbers do not substitute for one another.
How many seats does Tidio include?
Ten seats on the Free, Starter and Growth plans, and a custom number on Plus and Premium. That is unusual in this category. Zendesk Suite runs $55 to $115 per agent per month and Front $25 to $105 per seat, so adding staff to those raises the bill while adding staff to Tidio does not.
Does Tidio have a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes 50 billable conversations, 100 Flows visitors reached, ticketing, the mobile app and social integrations, with 10 seats. It also grants 50 Lyro AI conversations as a one-time lifetime allowance rather than monthly. Every paid option adds a 7-day free trial.
Is Tidio cheaper on Shopify than on the Tidio website?
For the AI, on the entry rung, yes. The Shopify App Store listing prices Lyro AI Chatbot at $39 a month for up to 200 conversations, about $0.195 each, while the website add-on starts at 32.50 for 50 conversations, roughly 0.65 each. The packaging differs too, so compare like for like before switching.
How does Tidio Lyro pricing compare to Fin and Gorgias?
Fin charges $0.99 per resolution and states it does not bill when a conversation is simply passed to your team. Gorgias charges $0.90 to $1.50 per AI interaction and counts that same interaction as a billable ticket as well. Tidio charges per conversation attempted, which is cheaper per unit but pays for misses.
What is the real cost per solved question with Tidio Lyro?
Divide the conversation rate by the resolution rate. Tidio markets Lyro as solving up to 67 percent of questions, so 0.65 per conversation works out near 0.97 per question actually solved. At the 50 percent floor that Tidio guarantees on Premium, the same rate is about 1.30 per solved question.
Can I use Tidio Lyro with Zendesk or Salesforce?
Yes. Tidio sells two shapes: Lyro AI Agent plus the Tidio help desk, or Lyro AI Agent only, which it describes as adding an AI agent to Zendesk, Salesforce or any other help desk software. The standalone route means you pay the Lyro meter without the Tidio conversation meter.
Does annual billing save money on Tidio?
The website advertises annual billing as two months free, which is about 17 percent, and the Shopify listing shows the same 17 percent discount at $290 a year against $29 a month. Annual only helps if your volume is stable, since the usage meters still move month to month regardless of the billing term.
