ManyChat has no built-in calendar, so booking appointments through it costs the ManyChat plan plus a scheduling tool. The cheapest working setup we could price is ManyChat Pro at $29 a month billed yearly, Calendly Standard at $10 a seat billed yearly, and the paid Calendly app from ManyApps at $160 a year, about $52 a month in total. Book-by-link on Calendly's free plan costs only the ManyChat plan, but the lead leaves the DM to finish the booking.

Every figure below was read on 26 September 2026 from ManyChat's help center, the ManyChat Apps catalog, manyapps.io and calendly.com, in US dollars. ManyChat's plans changed on 2 March 2026 and older accounts are being moved over country by country, so quotes older than that describe a different price list.

How much does ManyChat appointment booking cost?

It depends on how you want the booking to happen. There are three setups people actually run, and they cost very different amounts:

SetupWhat you pay each monthWhat the lead experiences
ManyChat flow that sends a Calendly linkManyChat Pro $29 yearly or $39 monthly; Calendly free for one event typeTaps a link, leaves Instagram, picks a time on a web page
ManyChat plus the ManyApps Calendly appPro $29 to $39, plus ManyApps $15 a month billed quarterly or $160 a year for one app, plus Calendly Standard $10 a seat yearlySees open times and books inside the chat, gets reminders and can reschedule there
ManyChat plus Zapier or MakePro, plus Calendly, plus the automation tool's own planBooks through a link; the automation tags the contact in ManyChat after the fact

Add those up for a single-location business and the in-chat version lands at about $52 a month on yearly billing: $29 for ManyChat, $13.33 for ManyApps ($160 over 12 months) and $10 for one Calendly seat. That is inexpensive, and if your whole booking flow lives in Instagram DMs it is hard to beat on price.

Does ManyChat have a booking feature?

No. ManyChat's Pro plan article lists what the plan includes: up to 2,500 active contacts a month, three users and two Inbox seats, up to three connected channels, unlimited automations, AI-powered automation, integrations with email, SMS, CRM and commerce tools, WhatsApp broadcasts and API access. A calendar, appointment types and availability are not on that list. Booking always runs through something else, which is why the ManyChat Apps catalog carries a Calendly app built by a third party, ManyApps, and marked "Paid."

ManyApps sells that app two ways. A single app license is $15 a month billed quarterly, or $160 a year, for one ManyChat account. An all-apps license for one account is $35 a month or $300 a year. The catalog listing does not print a price itself, so check manyapps.io before you budget from the listing alone.

What does ManyChat Pro include for booking leads?

Pro is the plan that matters for bookings, because it is where ManyChat's AI and its SMS and email channels start. It costs $39 a month month to month or $29 a month billed yearly, which ManyChat describes as 25% savings, and it comes with a 14-day free trial. Past 2,500 active contacts you pay $0.05 per extra contact on monthly billing or $0.038 on yearly. A third Inbox seat is $25.

The channel cap is easy to miss: Pro lets you connect up to three channels, chosen from Instagram, TikTok, Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email. A business that wants Instagram, SMS and WhatsApp has used its allowance. Add Messenger and you need more than Pro allows.

Can ManyChat AI book appointments on its own?

Not by itself today. ManyChat's help center describes Manychat AI Replies as answering questions in DMs and comments from the facts you put in its Knowledge library, and it says two things plainly: the feature "is currently available only for the Instagram channel," and "Manychat AI is currently in beta." When the AI cannot answer, you can have it assign the conversation to a person. Booking still happens in the flow you build around it, through a link or the Calendly app.

That is fine for a studio that gets simple questions and wants the lead on a booking page quickly. It is thinner if your leads ask three or four questions before they commit (price, availability, whether you take their insurance, whether there is parking), because every branch the AI cannot handle has to be built as a flow by hand.

What does ManyChat booking cost as your audience grows?

The active-contact meter is what moves the bill. An active contact is anyone your account interacts with in a month, and a Reel that goes well can put a few thousand people into your DMs in a week. Here is what Pro costs on yearly billing as that number climbs, before ManyApps and Calendly:

Active contacts in the monthManyChat Pro, yearly billing
2,500 or fewer$29
3,000$29 + 500 x $0.038 = $48
3,553about $69, the price of the Business plan
5,000$29 + 2,500 x $0.038 = $124, so move to Business at $69 before this

ManyChat lets you set a contact limit in billing settings, which caps the overage but also caps who the automation will talk to. For most small businesses the practical answer is simple: stay on Pro while you are under about 3,500 active contacts a month, then move to Business.

When is ManyChat the right tool for booking appointments?

When the booking starts and ends on Instagram and the conversation is short. Comment a keyword, get a DM, tap a time, done. ManyChat is built for that funnel, it is cheap at small volume, and its flow builder gives you control over every step. If a person on your team makes the sale on the call, you do not need much more than that. And if the same Reel also goes out to TikTok and YouTube Shorts, a tool that turns one post into every channel saves the re-cutting, while ManyChat catches the comments that come back.

When does ManyChat stop being enough?

Three situations come up again and again with US service businesses:

Your leads switch to text. Someone asks about a facial in your Instagram DMs on Tuesday night and texts the number on your website on Wednesday. On ManyChat those are two contacts in two channels unless you connect SMS as one of your three and build the flows to match. Your front desk ends up answering the text by hand without the DM history.

The questions are open-ended. Price, availability, deposits, cancellation policy, which provider does what: a flow handles the ones you predicted. AI Replies helps on Instagram, but it is in beta and does not book.

You want one bill you can forecast. ManyChat plus ManyApps plus Calendly is three vendors, three renewals and a contact meter that moves with your content. That is manageable, but it is not one number.

This is the gap an AI DM setter fills. We compared the published prices of SetSmart, FlowGent, LeadResponse and SetterFlo against ManyChat on that page. Those tools hold a real conversation, qualify the lead and book on your calendar inside the DM, at $25 to $797 a month depending on message volume.

What is the alternative to ManyChat for booking appointments?

If your bookings come from more than one channel, MessageAgent runs one AI across Instagram DMs, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, web chat and email, with the same memory in every thread. It answers the pre-booking questions from your own prices and policies, offers real open slots, books the appointment and sends the reminder, and any teammate can take over the thread with the full history. Growth is $199 a month, or $159 billed yearly, with 5,000 AI conversations included and no active-contact meter. See the AI appointment booking bot for how the booking step works, or Instagram DM automation for the DM side.

We will say where we lose. At under 2,500 active contacts, on Instagram only, with short conversations and a person who closes, ManyChat at about $52 a month with the Calendly app costs a quarter of our Growth plan and does the job. If you are choosing between ManyChat and a WhatsApp-first inbox rather than an AI agent, our Wati vs ManyChat pricing comparison covers that decision in detail.

Frequently asked questions

Is ManyChat free for appointment booking?

Not in any useful way. ManyChat's free tier covers 25 active contacts, and AI plus the SMS and email channels start on Pro at $29 a month billed yearly. A Calendly link sent from a flow works on Calendly's free plan with one event type, but the lead leaves the DM to book, and in-chat booking needs the paid ManyApps Calendly app.

How much does ManyChat cost per month?

Under the plans introduced on 2 March 2026, Essential is $14 a month billed yearly, Pro is $29 billed yearly or $39 month to month, Business is $69 and Advanced is $139. Each includes an active-contact allowance of 250, 2,500, 7,500 and 25,000. Pro overage is $0.038 per extra contact on yearly billing and $0.05 on monthly.

Does ManyChat integrate with Calendly?

Yes, three ways. You can send a Calendly link from any flow at no extra cost. You can install the ManyApps Calendly app from the ManyChat Apps catalog, which shows appointments and handles reminders and rescheduling in the chat for $15 a month billed quarterly or $160 a year. Or you can connect the two through Zapier or Make.

Can ManyChat send appointment reminders by text?

Yes, if SMS is one of the channels you connect on Pro or higher, and the ManyApps Calendly app adds booking reminders through ManyChat channels. US business texting also needs 10DLC registration through your texting provider, and US recipients must have opted in to receive texts. Calendly's own automations and reminders start on its Standard plan.

What is cheaper than ManyChat plus Calendly for Instagram booking?

At small volume, very little. The in-chat setup costs about $52 a month on yearly billing, and LeadResponse charges $99 a month for 100 leads. Costs flip as volume and channels grow: once you pass a few thousand active contacts or need SMS and web chat in the same thread, a flat plan like MessageAgent Growth at $199 is easier to forecast.
