Six rows and one number. That is the entire published difference between Weave Pro, Elite and Ultimate. We read all thirty rows of the comparison grid on getweave.com/pricing first-hand on 3 September 2026, and twenty four of them are identical on all three plans. Ultimate alone adds Call Intelligence, Practice Analytics for dental and quarterly one on one training. Elite and above adds online scheduling, digital forms and dental insurance verification. The one number that changes is the bulk texting allotment: 1,500 messages a month on Pro, 3,000 on Elite, 15,000 on Ultimate. Weave publishes no price for any of the three.

What is the difference between Weave Pro, Elite and Ultimate?

Less than the three-card layout suggests. Weave prints a thirty row feature comparison beneath the plans, and most of it is the same across the board. Appointment reminders, schedule confirmations, two-way texting, missed call texting, the collections list, the overdue patients list, phone tree, call queue, call analytics, team chat, fax, call pop, the waitlist, reviews, email marketing, customer profile, text to pay, payments, buy now pay over time and recall all appear on Pro exactly as they appear on Ultimate.

Here is the whole ladder, row by row.

Read that table and the sales conversation changes shape. You are not comparing three products. You are deciding whether you need online scheduling and digital forms, whether you want the AI, and how many texts you send in a month.

How much is Weave Elite?

Weave does not publish a price for Elite, and that is true of Ultimate and Pro as well. The single dollar figure anywhere on the pricing page is in the subheading: simple plans and pricing, starting from $199 per month. It is attached to no plan. All three cards carry a Get Pricing button where a rate would normally sit, and there is a separate Get Enterprise Pricing path beside them.

What Weave does publish about Elite is that it is marked Most Popular, that it includes 3,000 bulk text messages a month, and that it adds online scheduling, digital forms and dental insurance verification over Pro. It does not include Call Intelligence or Practice Analytics. We broke down the full published and unpublished picture in our analysis of Weave pricing, including the eleven things a buyer needs that Weave leaves to the call.

Which Weave plan do most dental practices need?

Elite, in practice, and the reason is unglamorous. Online scheduling and digital forms are the two features most practices are actually buying this category for, and neither appears in the Pro column. A dental practice on Pro is also giving up insurance verification, which is one of only two dental specific features on the whole grid. So Pro reads less like an entry plan for a dental office and more like a phone system with messaging attached.

That makes the real decision Elite versus Ultimate, and that one is easier than it looks. Ultimate adds exactly three things: the AI, dental Practice Analytics and quarterly training, plus a jump from 3,000 to 15,000 bulk texts. If you do not want the AI and you are not sending more than 3,000 texts a month, you are being asked to pay the top tier premium for a quarterly meeting and a dental reporting dashboard.

Can you get Weave's AI on a cheaper plan?

No, and there is no published way to buy it separately. Call Intelligence, which Weave describes as using AI to turn more calls into more appointments and flags as NEW, renders in the Ultimate column only. There is no per-call rate, no per-minute rate and no add-on price printed anywhere. The AI is a tier gate.

That is worth naming clearly because it runs against how the rest of this market prices AI. Zendesk charges $1.50 per automated resolution on every plan it sells. Freshdesk charges $0.49 per AI agent session, identical on all three tiers. Those models let a small buyer try the AI cheaply and punish a heavy user. Weave inverts it: you cannot try the AI at all without buying the most expensive plan, but once you have it, nothing meters your usage. Which of those is better depends entirely on whether you are testing or committed.

Does Weave charge extra for text messages?

Unknown, and that is the answer you should be least comfortable with. Weave publishes a monthly bulk texting allotment for each tier but no per-message rate and no overage rate. Nothing on the page says what happens when a practice sends its 1,501st message on Pro or its 3,001st on Elite. It could be a hard stop, it could be a per-message charge, it could be an automatic tier upgrade at renewal.

Get that number in writing before you sign. It is the single most likely surprise on this bill, because the allotments are the only thing Weave quantifies per tier, and a recall campaign or a schedule-gap blast can put a busy practice through 3,000 messages faster than the plan implies. If you are mainly buying software to fill cancelled slots and confirm visits, it is worth pricing that job on its own against a dedicated patient appointment reminder platform before you buy a whole practice operating system to get it.

Does the plan you pick depend on your vertical?

Yes, more than the pricing page makes obvious. Four features on the grid are restricted by practice type. Practice Analytics and insurance verification are dental only. Eyewear ready notifications are optometry only. Vaccine reminders are veterinary only.

Run the arithmetic for a general medical practice and it gets uncomfortable. Two of the three Ultimate-only rows are the AI and quarterly training, because Practice Analytics is dental. Two of the three Elite-only rows are online scheduling and digital forms, because insurance verification is also dental. So a medical practice climbing from Pro to Ultimate is paying for four usable additions and a texting allotment, while a dental practice making the same climb gets six. Same ladder, different value, no difference in how it is presented.

There is a compliance dimension here too. Patient messaging in any of these verticals is protected health information the moment it names an appointment, a treatment or a balance, so whichever tier you land on, the vendor is inside your HIPAA perimeter. Practices that have to evidence that to an insurer or a partner increasingly map their controls to HIPAA and SOC 2 in one place rather than reconstructing it from vendor PDFs at audit time. Ask Weave for its business associate agreement during the sales call rather than after, since it is not linked from the pricing page.

What does Weave cost per month, really?

The honest answer is that only Weave knows, and third-party articles are not a substitute. Search for Weave pricing and you will find confident figures spread from roughly $199 to about $700 a month for the same product in the same year, some of them attached to tier names Weave does not use. None of those is a vendor-published rate, because Weave has published exactly one number and no tier prices at all.

What that spread does tell you, usefully, is that quotes in this category vary enormously by scope, location count and negotiation. Treat $199 as the floor of the cheapest plan and go into the call with your own numbers written down: how many locations, how many handsets, how many texts a month, and which of the six gated rows you genuinely need.

How Weave compares to the rest of the category on transparency

Weave publishes more than its nearest rivals, which is a low bar this year. Birdeye publishes no dollar figure at all; its pricing page asks how many locations you run and for a mobile number, and that is the whole page, as we documented in our breakdown of Birdeye pricing. Podium was still printing Core at $399 and Pro at $599 on 23 August 2026 and had removed both by 2 September, replacing them with an industry-gated quote form.

Against that, a published floor, three named tiers and a complete thirty row feature grid is genuinely useful. It is also the reason this comparison is possible at all: Weave hides the prices but shows the product, so you can work out what you need before anyone quotes you, which is the right order to do it in.

The one question that decides it

Do you need online scheduling and digital forms? If yes, your comparison starts at Elite and Pro is not a real option. If you also want the AI, or you are a dental practice that wants Practice Analytics, or you send more than 3,000 texts a month, it starts at Ultimate. If none of those apply, you are looking at Pro and a conversation about what the $199 floor actually buys.

Everything else on that grid you get either way. Twenty four rows out of thirty are not part of this decision, and knowing that before the call is worth more than any price anyone will quote you online.
