PushPress vs Mindbody pricing comes down to one difference: PushPress prints every price and Mindbody prints almost none. PushPress Core is $0, $159 or $229 a month, with Grow marketing at $329, Train at $79 and a branded app at $97, plus published card and ACH rates. Mindbody shows "Let's talk" on all three of its plans and one floor, $79 a month per location for Starter, with its processing rate left off the page. For a single-location US gym that wants to know the bill before a sales call, PushPress is the one you can price today.
PushPress prices were read on pushpress.com/pricing, its Grow product page and its AI page on 13 October 2026 from a US connection. Mindbody prices were read on mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing the same day. US dollars, before taxes. Where the page shows no number, we say so instead of quoting a third-party guess.

Is PushPress cheaper than Mindbody?
For most single-location gyms, yes, and you can prove it before you call anyone. Mindbody's only printed number is $79 a month for Starter, and Starter is the plan without text and email marketing, the lead dashboard or AI Concierge. Every plan that has them reads "Let's talk." PushPress gets you a full gym platform for $159 on Pro, and its whole marketing stack for $329 more.
The honest caveat is processing. Mindbody does not print its rate, only the fixed $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction, so nobody outside its sales team can tell you what a $26,000 month of membership payments costs there. That line is often bigger than the software fee. On PushPress it is printed, which is the main reason it is the easier one to budget.
What a 150-member gym pays on PushPress
Take one location with 150 members at $175 a month, $26,250 in billing, 70 percent paid by card and 30 percent by ACH, one payment per member. At PushPress's published rates:
| Monthly cost | Core Free | Core Pro | Core Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plan fee | $0 | $159 | $229 |
| Card, $18,375 | $916.91 | $531.04 | $505.31 |
| ACH, $7,875 | $227.59 | $62.21 | $62.21 |
| 150 fixed fees at $0.30 | $45 | $45 | $45 |
| Total | $1,189.50 | $797.25 | $841.52 |
Two things fall out of that table. First, the free plan is the most expensive one at this size: Pro saves about $392 a month. Pro cuts both the card and ACH rate by exactly 2.10 points, so it beats Free once you process more than about $7,571 a month, whatever your card and ACH mix. Second, Max only pays for itself on fees above $50,000 a month in card payments, because it costs $70 more than Pro and trims only 0.14 points off cards. Add Grow to Pro and the bill is $1,126.25, still about $63 less than the free plan alone. Our PushPress pricing breakdown lists every line, including the Full Stack bundle at about $559.
Two other platforms price by headcount instead of by processing. Gymdesk pricing runs $75 to $200 a month by active members with its own payments, and Zen Planner pricing runs $99 to $289 for Studio across eight member bands, so at 150 members both land near or below PushPress Pro on the software fee alone. Wodify prices per location instead, at $99 a month after a $100 discount; our Wodify pricing breakdown shows what that discount does and does not cover. For a studio weighing Mindbody against another class-booking platform rather than a gym tool, we priced Mindbody vs WellnessLiving by team size, and every Mindbody line is on our Mindbody pricing page.
How much does Mindbody cost per month?
From $79 a month per location for Starter, and an unpublished quote for Accelerate and Ultimate. The pricing page calls $79 its "new, lower price" for North America and Asia; the same page showed "Starting at €99" when we loaded it from a European connection, so check that you are seeing US pricing. Mindbody says the subscription rises "based on adding new locations and not adding new people," so a three-studio group pays three times.
Third-party sites still list Mindbody tiers at roughly $99, $279 and $499 a month. We could not find any of those on Mindbody's own pages, and $99 for Starter no longer matches the $79 Mindbody prints, so treat them as old numbers and get a written quote. Budget three extra lines: processing at an unpublished rate, extra marketing texts beyond the Ultimate bundle, and the marketplace fee when the Mindbody consumer app delivers a brand-new client.
Which one includes AI for answering leads?
Mindbody does, on its top plan. AI Concierge is a 24/7 front desk assistant that answers client questions, responds to missed calls and books directly into the Mindbody schedule. It is included on Ultimate, sold as an add-on on Accelerate and not offered on Starter, and none of those prices are printed. We broke down what that means in practice in our Mindbody AI Concierge pricing guide.
PushPress does not, and it says so. The AI Assistant, included on Pro and Max, answers the owner: who has a pending cancel, charge all no-shows from Tuesday's 6am class, which members are drifting. PushPress describes it as "not a chatbot." Grow's follow-up is automated email and text sequences that you write once, which is good at nudging a lead who already filled in a form but cannot answer "do you have a beginner class on Saturday" at 10pm.
That gap matters more than the plan fee for a lot of boutique studios and boxes, because new leads increasingly arrive as Instagram DMs from people who saw a post and never visited the website. Neither the Mindbody page nor PushPress lists Instagram DMs as a channel its AI answers.
Who each platform is built for
PushPress is built around independent CrossFit boxes, strength and conditioning gyms, martial arts academies and small group training, with rank tracking, workout programming through Train and a free entry plan. It is a good fit for an owner-operator who wants to see the full price, start on Free, and move to Pro when the processing math says so.
Mindbody covers a wider market: yoga and pilates studios, boutique fitness chains, and also spas and beauty businesses, which is why its grid includes room and resource booking and Pick-a-Spot. Its real advantage is the consumer marketplace, where clients discover and book classes, at the cost of that first-purchase fee. If you run a hair salon rather than a fitness business, a salon booking app with a built-in client directory is a closer fit than either platform. For a multi-location studio brand that wants marketplace demand and a client-facing AI inside the scheduler, Mindbody Ultimate is the stronger package, if the quote works.
Should you switch from Mindbody to PushPress to save money?
Switch if you are a single-location gym, the Mindbody marketplace sends you few new clients, and your renewal quote is above what PushPress Pro plus the add-ons you would actually use comes to. Check three things before you move: the term left on your Mindbody agreement, because its FAQ says cancellation depends on your plan and billing terms, how many current members book through the Mindbody app, and whether your payment tokens can be migrated so members do not have to re-enter cards. PushPress advertises a three-step migration tool and says most gyms go live in a few days.
Stay if the marketplace is a real lead source for you or you run several locations on Ultimate and use its marketing. In that case the cheaper fix is usually adding what your plan lacks, not replacing the platform.
Where MessageAgent fits next to either one
MessageAgent is not gym management software, and it does not replace PushPress Core or Mindbody for billing, scheduling or check-in. It covers the conversation before someone becomes a member. It answers price, contract, childcare and class-time questions on Instagram, Facebook, text, WhatsApp and web chat within seconds, books the intro class on your calendar, follows up on trial no-shows and hands the hot leads to your staff with the whole chat attached.
Growth is $199 a month, or $99 billed yearly, with 5,000 AI conversations and 10 handoff seats, and carrier and Meta fees passed through at cost. That is $130 a month less than PushPress Grow and does not require moving to Mindbody Ultimate to get an AI at the front desk. It does not build you a website or send review requests, which Grow does. Try the demo at the top of this page with a real membership question, see how it works for gyms and fitness studios, or compare plans and pricing.
PushPress vs Mindbody pricing questions
Does PushPress have a free plan?
Yes. PushPress Core Free costs $0 a month with no time limit and includes scheduling, billing, waivers and check-in for unlimited members. PushPress earns on it through processing, at 4.99% plus 30 cents per card payment and 2.89% plus 30 cents on ACH, so above about $7,571 a month of payments the $159 Pro plan is cheaper overall.
Does Mindbody have a free trial or free plan?
Mindbody has no free plan. Its pricing page leads with "Get a demo" and shows "Let's talk" on Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate, with a published floor of $79 a month per location for Starter. Listing your business on the Mindbody consumer app is free; the fee applies only to new clients the app delivers.
Which is better for a CrossFit gym, PushPress or Mindbody?
For most independent CrossFit boxes, PushPress. It is built around group classes and coaching, includes workout programming through Train Lite with a paid Train upgrade at $79, and prints every price including processing. Mindbody is stronger for studios that rely on its consumer marketplace for new clients or run several locations.
Does Mindbody charge per member or per staff user?
Neither. Mindbody says it does not charge for additional users and that the subscription rises with new locations, not with new people at an existing location. PushPress also lists unlimited members, staff and admins on all three Core plans. On both, what grows with membership is payment processing.
How much does Mindbody Ultimate cost?
Mindbody does not publish it. Ultimate shows "Let's talk" on the pricing page, and it is the plan that includes AI Concierge, email and text marketing with a monthly text bundle, and the lead management dashboard. Older third-party figures put it near $499 a month per location, but that number does not appear on Mindbody's current pages.
